Fly High Maintain Aircraft Well

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Wright brothers used to see the birds fly and had a desire of building one special vehicle which could fly in the sky just like birds. They did find a solution finally for flying in the air. They built an aircraft, which had ability to take off into the air and move in atmosphere. They used to call this an Aircraft and later it became Airplane.

When pilots fly high in the sky, they take some powerful direction showing aviation GPS systems with them. These systems help pilots in tracing the things coming on their way. These GPS system has ability to show the location in which they are flying, route to their destination and the direction map to their destination. Good GPS systems have the ability to read elevation levels of the airplane from the ground. These systems show some important points like nearest airports, mountains and other heights coming their way.

An aircraft is fully equipped with modern technology devices. These latest technological devices help the pilot in tracking the flights movement. Aircrafts are also equipped with automatic pilot software. This software flies the flight automatically without the assistance of a driver in worse situations. Aircraft maintenance is an important issue, any minor repair inside the engine or systems software that is not made can cost lives.

Scooter Spares and Chargers

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Scooter parts are the essential spares that are needed for your scooter to run perfect and give optimum performance. The parts are designed for customized purposes and can be used perfectly well with folding scooter, freestyle scooter, skateboard scooter, gas motorized scooter, executive scooter, gas motorized scooter three wheel folding scooter, electric motorized scooter and many more. Some of the most commonly used and required scooter parts manufactured for different purposes include, rubber parts, floor rubber and mats, engine and electrical parts, crank case gear group, clutch gear selector, speedometer and many more.

A machine cannot run all by itself, and scooter is no different. A high performance scooter battery is used to get your scooter’s engine and lights work with full energy. Alkaline batteries and coin cell batteries are two most commonly used batteries. Scooter batteries are chargeable and for this you need to have a good scooter charger. Low cost scooter charger may at times does not give that much needed performance, and as a result of which the overall efficiency of scooter hampers. Look for a good warranty scooter battery, as this would allow you not to recharge the battery of your scooter again and again after shorter period of time.

Why are (comercial, anyway) aircraft wings never painted?

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

When flying (which I do a lot), I never see commercial passenger jets with painted wings. Why?

Ya they usually are painted, just a solid, light color. They don’t paint em dark colors because they try and keep the fuel tanks as cool as possible for maximum efficiency.

…………….Paint for commercial aircraft costs a LOT of money and costs more to put it on the aircraft. Also, it adds weight which costs fuel and may cost payload. There is no real benefit to painting the wings, as they are not usually seen, unlike the tail.

……………….

They are painted, just usually a solid color. No sense spending the money to get a fancy paint job on a surface that no ones really going to see or care about. Certain parts of the wing are not painted for various reasons though

Do you press the button and pull the stick up to set the hand brake?

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

or do you just pull it up without pressing the button?

it will work either way.just pull it up till its tight .most people like to hear the clicking. others dont.its your preference.neither way will do harm.

……………..

You can do it either way but not using the button will eventually wear it out over time. Best way is to just use the button.

Happened to my old BMW.

…………..

It will work either way. But most people don’t press the button when setting the parking brake. You have to lift and press the button to release, but you knew that.

Replacing a head unit in a mazda?

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

i have a 1999 mazda 626 the head unit i just have no idea how to take out the old stereo
it looks like this http://photos2.ebizautos.com/4214/109774…

i just need some advice on how to take it out someone said im going to have to remove everything around it? then put it back together… there has to be an easier way

also someone said there is a special tool for a mazda… what is this tool

i have everything else tho the unit the wiring harnesses

on each side of the radio there are thin covers that come off. behined that are the 4 holes that you need the tools for but if you don’t have that get a wire clothes hanger and cut it into about 4 6 inch pieces. you place each one of these into the holes witch releases the head unit. then wiggle the head unit out but don’t pull too hard you could damage the wire harness. good luck. you can also buy a haynes manual that will show you how.

If you look very closely at the left and right edges of your radio, you’ll see that there are small plastic strips there that can be pried off. Underneath you’ll find two small holes on each side. These are made for Ford-style radio removal tools, like this: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/metra86… You can find these at many auto parts or car audio stores.

Getting Stainless Steel Nerf Bars

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

If you have a truck, you’d most likely want to add some accessories to it. Actually, there are a lot of truck accessories that are sold in the market. All of them have their own useful features and they also help in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of your truck. They have a lot of practical values as well. Making a careful choice will help you find the best truck accessories that will be useful to you and your business. One of the many truck accessories that you should have are truck nerf bars.

There are actually all sorts of nerf bars that you can find in online and offline stores. There are nerf bars with black acrylic finish. You’d also find chrome plated nerf bars and stainless steel nerf bars. Nerf bars that are stainless are without doubt, the best in quality. However, you should be careful when purchasing stainless nerf bars. You need to take your time when purchasing stainless nerf bars to avoid fakes. Due to unstable nickel prices, stainless steel materials fluctuate and are often quite high. So, you need to find stores that are able to offer the most affordable prices and those that are genuine.

When looking for stainless steel nerf bars, look for highly buffed steel that would give brilliant mirror appearance. They should be covered with a warranty. Stainless nerf bars are usually non-pitting and resistant to corrosion so you are ensured of long years of use.

Motorcycle insurance?

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

I want to get my motorcycle license this summer then buy an old bike to ride for awhile till i learn enough and buy a new bike later. But i want to know how much the insurance would cost me. Im 17 and live in California. And i want to get a 1985 Kawasaki. Whats the cheapest insurance i can get? How much is it?

Dairyland Insurance is usually cheaper than anyone else. They will pretty much cover anyone that rides anything. As far as their monthly rate to insure you? Depends on age driving record, type of bike and type of coverages. My son is 17 and looking at full coverage for him was about $90.00 a month. Just liability was about $40.00 a month. This was on an 1100 Cruiser style bike brand new. Just call them and they will give you a quote. Web site www.dairylandinsurance.com Be aware that on the occasion that i had to use them it was harder than hell to collect money from them. But it provides the paper you need. I use Progressive insurance. They are pretty cheap and pay on claims very quickly. Hope all this helps

……….

Your decision to get an 80’s bike is good, but ultimately the insurance cost is dependent on the displacement and model. If you buy an older ride and have only liability coverage the premium will be much less than a new bike with full coverage.

You need to select a specific model and go shopping. Use both the Internet to get on line quotes and use the phone to compare the on line quotes.

………….

Come on people, don’t answer this seriosly. “iki” here wants to know about getting a bike license, has a blown GSX-R, when the 09 harleys are coming out and storing a bike outside in the winter. All in the last 10 minutes…

Unless you want the easy two points, which is what i am doing.

Carbon from the traffic?

Friday, June 13th, 2008

is there any way that i can get the black stuff on my windows checked for carbon. i live on a main road and you can smell the stink from the traffic in my home.

Why bother? Carbon is not poisonous. When you get dirty burn (car, barbecue, etc.) it is NOT the carbon that is bad for you. That is just a sign of incomplete burn.

It is everything else in a dirty burn that is bad for you (CO, NOx, SOx, etc.)

If you still want to do an analysis, just google “chem lab analysis” any most can do simple Carbon analysis.

Believe it or not, you can chew on carbon with no ill effect (except for black and ugly tongue).
