Why is aluminum fence the best choice for a horse fence

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

You could be a person owning a total horse farm or just few horses! In both the cases what you mainly need is a good safety for them so that are well protected and you can look after them well. Just imagine that a fence is flexible and your horses in no time

Will be outside the boundaries of your farm or a stable because they have a great tendency to push their necks and heads into the fences! Hence for this reason most of the farmers prefer their horse fence to be an aluminium fence, which suits perfectly for the purpose.

When you know that the best choice of a horse fence is the aluminium fence, and then why not go for the best? This aluminium fence is equally strong as an iron, but at the same time rust formation is not seen. It is powder coated, so if you want to paint your fence you can do it with ease. It is has high durability standards and another advantage is that maintenance is not required and at the same time they provide a lifetime warranty so that the owner can just sit back and relax without getting tensed about protecting his horses! Vinyl fence is another option for horse fencing.

How much should he weigh?

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

I have a ten year old dog and he is a Corgi X Fox terrier (Yes, the mother was the corgi) He is rather fat. But corgis are fat dogs.
How much should he weigh?
Also, he is forever scratching himself, But it’s always in the same place.
Could he have some sort of rash?? He doesn’t have fleas, we’ve checked.

I also have a Newfie,Lab,Collie X How much should he weigh?
He only weighs around 35-40 kgs. But he still looks a lil chubby.

Your corgi/fox terrier may have food or other allergies.
You need to ask your vet to check BOTH dogs and advise you as to how much each should weigh.
If either is overweight, ask your vet how to put the dog on a diet.
You need some vet guidance, esp. since the corgi mix seems to have a rash. –

Please help: My cat..lumps near breast and fluid coming out of nipple? HELP?

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

She’s 11 years old and not spayed she is also half siamese…

I’m crying when I read online that all points lead to cancer. I am going to the vet today but this is killiing me being at work and unable to just take care of her.

She was crying and begging to be with me all yesterday. I looked at her tummy and pressed on her nipple and yellowish fluid just started squirting out.

Can it be something elses….

OR REALISTICALLY CANCER?????????

She could have a infection in her mammory glands–which is not uncommon in unspayed females. It would be sore and inflamed, but treatable. Yes, it’s possible it is cancer, but there are also many things that you can’t self-diagnose with the internet. I’m glad your cat is going to the vet today.

Fish tank cleaning question?

Monday, July 14th, 2008

ok so it’s time for the weekly 20-25% water change and i was wondering if you should vacuum your rocks while doing the water change. A friend keeps telling me not to do it until it looks dirty but it’s not professional advice so I’m asking all you smart people on yahoo.

I try to vacuum every other week and only do half the tank. You don’t want to wait until too much junk builds up in the gravel or it makes a huge mess when you do try to clean it. Some people believe that you ruin your good bacteria by vacuuming but I’ve never had a problem.

………

no no no no, don’t wait to vacuum the rocks until they look dirty. You should always do your water changes with a substrate vacuum. Allowing things to build up will cause problems in your aquarium and once it’s noticeably dirty them it takes a huge water change to be able to clean it all out which isn’t safe. It doesn’t make sense to clean a tank and not take out whats making it dirty. If your worried about removing beneficial bacteria, don’t worry. The bacteria are throughout your entire tank and cleaning the pebbles isn’t going to deplete it. But by allowing your tank to get dirty you’re creating more harmful bacterias than your beneficial bacteria can handle.

Random questions?

a) i have had a 10 gallon freswater tank for 6 months. yes, it is cycled. but i wanna move on to saltwater. if i put the saltwater in, will it still be cycled? i mena, is the tank cycled if i put saltwater in, or do i have to recycle it?

b) if i put a new filter in the tank, did that uncycle the tank? and also, if i take out my rock gravel, will that uncycle the tank?

c) can i fit a ocellaris clownfish (just one) and a small chocolate chip starfish in the 10 gallon? or can i just do one or the other. ??

d) if in c, i can, please give me info on the choc. chip starfish ????

(A) AS LONG AS YOU GOT BACTERIA BUILDING UP IN YOUR TANK AND ITS BEEN RUNNING FOR SOME MONTHS SHOULD BE ALRIGHT JUST DON’T WASH OR RINSE OFF YOUR FILTER CAUSE THAT WILL HELP YOU MAINTAIN THE GROWTH OF BACTERIA.

(B) YES IT WILL AFFECT IT BUT IT WON’T QUITE UN-CYCLE IT. AND IF YOU’RE GOING TO REMOVE THE GRAVEL YOU SHOULD AT LEAST LEAVE SOME IN AND TRY REMOVING IT AT A LATER TIME. IT WILL ALSO HELP THE CYCLE PROCEDURE.

(C) DON’T KNOW WHERE YOU CAN LOOK IT UP BUT AT THIS SITE THEY SELLS THEM AND THEY GIVE A BRIEF SUMMARY ON IN MAYBE YOU CAN READ IT AND GET AN IDEA OF WHAT’S WHAT.

AS THE RULE APPLY, YOU’RE ONLY ALLOWED AN INCH OF FISH PER GALLON

http://LiveAquaria.com

you can get alot of answere about this on repticzone.com but i dont think anything below 30 gallons is suposted to be used for salt water because its really hard to keep all the levils where there suposted to be

——

if i’m not mistaken it is diferent bacteria for saltwater so you would have to cycle your tank once again.

My cat is biting and scratching making hair and skin get bloody & fall out, his skin is sticky .?

What is wrong what should I do. Some people say he has mainge.

Even one flea bite can make a highly allergic cat do that, so it still is a possibility.

Your cat is in serious discomfort with this. One of ours yanked fur out all down one side, due to food allergies. It wasn’t fish or wheat either, he was allergic to some of the preservative chemicals or additives that were put in. It took us a while to find a food he could tolerate enough to stop pulling fur.

Switching to a raw diet for at least part of the food your cat gets could help a lot. It has to be fresh though, not 5 days in the meat section at the grocery store and 4 more in your fridge–too much bacteria ends up on raw meat over the course of days like that.

We get flash frozen tubes of raw ground turkey for $1 each, they last 3 days–I microwave chunks till they’re warm but not cooked, and the cats all get this for breakfast. But you’ll have to switch foods for the other items your cat is eating, till you find out what’s going on.

If it IS mange, a vet can tell in seconds. They do a skin scraping and look under the microscope to see if they see mites. This is treatable, but since most cats that do what yours is doing usually end up having a food allergy they can’t tolerate, you do need to check everything out with your vet. Don’t make your cat wait, he’s obviously in pain over this.

mange doesnt normally manifest like that it sounds more like a hotspot could be from fleas or allergies. take her to the vet if she has fleas get prevention and he can give her a injection for the inflamation and itching.

What is the difference between a badger, otter and beaver?

Friday, June 6th, 2008

a badger lives underground, badgers are capable of fighting off bigger animals such as bears. Badgers eat pocket gophers, squirrels, etc. Badgers have long claws. An otter is slimmer than the badger, and spends a lot of time in water, the otter has small webbed feet. they eat mostly fish. A beaver has big teeth. they chew on wood for two reasons- they have to keep their teeth at a good size, otherwise they will grow and curl into their head. they also make dams with the wood. That is where the beaver lives. they have dens inside their dams. A beaver is different from these other two because it doesnt eat meat. it eats mostly bark, twigs, and leaves. Hope this helps.

——–

badgers burrow underground like rabbits and are black and white.

Otters are brown, live on land but hunt fish in the sea or a lake/river they live in holes in the banks of the river or seashore.

beavers are also brown chew down trees and build a home across the river called a dam (like a man made dam, same purpose - slow the flow of the river to make a deep pool one side so they can fish easy) they build with the wood and mud, they live in their dam and eat fish!

What kind of fish should i get?

Saturday, December 1st, 2007

1.      shave it.

2.      I know this isn’t a fish, but you should consider getting African mini-frogs. They are fun to watch and play well with other fish.

3.      Maybe 3 or 4 African cichlids. 20 is too small for Dempseys and large cichlids.

4.      Damzels

5.      female betta are nice, you can find them in pretty colors if you look hard, and lots of little guys like neons and tetras are pretty easy

6.      I don’t know much about fish. But one thing I do know is get fish that can mix together. They say three of the same.

7.      The cute little mini sharks.

8.      cichlids are mean dont get them!!!! i have some danio’s platty’s those are the ones i have had the best luck with. but make sure to get a succker fish or and algi eater also… snails aren’t that great.

Do u find cats scary?

Saturday, December 1st, 2007
  1. No I don’t and you wouldn’t either if you gave them a chance.
  2. OMG yes! and cat ppl get insulted when i get scared of their cats

as to why? i dunno something in the eyes, the way they strut…the whole superstition thing about them…..both my siblings claim they saw a black cat in their room when they awoke in the mid of the night and everything in the house was locked…both were on different occasions

  3. I definitely find cats creepy. I couldn’t tell you exactly why, but I think it is because they remind me of evil magic( you know black cats and witches).
  4. I love cats! Had cats all my life! Never had a dog. Cats are so cool!
  5. I find them intriguing! You never know what is going on in that head. And their eyes are just stunning! It is kinda creepy when they jump up and do the crazy cat run without any provocation, but hell, it’s really entertaining after the initial startle.
  6. No I like cats but some can look scary if they have no ears or something or those hairless cats, those are creepy.
  7. shave it.
  8. No not at all….but I know someone who is…..lol
